The 14th Annual Tri-City R.E.A.C.H. Awards recognizes the generous contribution of individual youth, youth groups, businesses and organizations, and adult mentors in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody who have helped make youth friendly communities.

This year, The Tri Cities REACH Awards introduces a new award category. Sponsored by the Port Coquitlam Rotary, this award recognizes a youth who has managed to overcome adversity . If you know of a youth who should be nominated for this award, please complete the nomination form (link below). The winner of this award will be sponsored for a weekend leadership retreat that will provide information and transferable skills that are invaluable.

Please nominate a youth or youth advocate (see form below) who has contributed to the community or who has positively supported youth (11 to 18 years) between now and April 15th, 2016. ALL valid nominees will be recognized and expected to attend the Tri-City REACH Awards Ceremony in Port Coquitlam.

• Individual youth or members of youth group must be in grades 6-12.

• Nominee(s) has volunteered consistently throughout the past year (May 2015 to April 2016) volunteered on behalf of others, the community, and/or the environment

• Nominee has been a positive role model for their peers and committed to community service.

• Any local non-profit, private or public organizations such as; Community Service Organizations, Stores, Restaurants or Government agencies who have made a positive contribution to youth

• Examples include: Providing monetary donations, space, fundraising for youth initiatives, creating positive opportunities, offering free to low-cost youth programs, specializing in youth employment, influencing safety for young workers, etc.

• Has not been nominated for a Tri-City REACH Award in the last 2 years.

• An adult (coach, teacher, youth worker/counselor, mentor, neighbour, friend, etc) who volunteers or works for the benefit of youth.

• Nominee must be a positive role model who has made a special effort to support youth in the community

• Has not been nominated for a Tri-City REACH Award in the last 2 years.
