PoCo Youth Crew (13-18yrs)

Get involved in your community alongside this team of driven youth! Poco Youth Crew (PYC) regularly is invovled with event such as Turkey Dinners, Christmas Dinners, Major Community Events and more!

Commitment: Tuesdays, 4:00pm - 5:00pm (ongoing)
Requirements: Must be 13 years of age or older

Halloween Howl (13-18yrs)

Help plan, build and act in our annual Halloween Howl Haunted House!

Commitment: October 2017 Dates TBD (Plus two planning meetings in the weeks before)
Requirements: Must be 13 years of age or older

Children's Art Camps
Love the Arts? Summer art camp volunteers assist recreation leaders with prepping for summer art classes and supervising children ages 5 - 14, creating a fun and safe environment. Art camps include a mix of visual and performing arts, including drawing, painting, singing, dancing and musical theatre.

Commitment: One week, Monday to Friday, 9:15am - 4:45pm (40 hours)
Requirements: Must be 13 years of age or older for children’s camps, 16 or older for youth camps, have previous experience working with children, and be Interested in the Arts

Exhibition Assistant (16+)
Assist City staff and from local artists in arranging and hanging feature exhibits at the Gathering Place and the Outlet in Leigh Square Community Arts Village. Assist with Opening Receptions.
Requirements: Must be a minimum of 16 year of age, comfortable greeting and speaking with the public, interested in the Arts and Community Programs, able to safely lift 20lbs
Commitment: 6-8 hours per exhibition hanging, 3-4 hours per opening reception. Requested commitment of 3 months or more (1 exhibition hanging and reception approx. every six weeks)

Farmers Market Support
The Port Coquitlam Farmers Market will be back again for its 7th year at Leigh Square, running June 1 to September 28, 2017! The Farmers Market features fresh food and local crafts, music, entertainment, cooking demos and more.
Volunteers are needed to assist with set up and take-down of tents, tables and chairs.
Commitment: Four to five weeks, Thursday, 12:30pm - 3:00pm and/or 7:00 - 8:30pm
Requirements: Must be 16 years of age or older, able to safely lift 20lbs
# of Volunteers: 2-4 per shift
